Public relations consultancy Progressive Communications and social strategic creative firm Reson8 Asia have entered a strategic partnership that will strengthen the two Singapore-based firms’ offerings through a common go-to-market strategy.
The alliance between the firms brings together a 22-strong team which will offer a holistic suite of communications and storytelling services to current and potential clients, including earned-first PR and reputation management, digital and social media content creation, as well as creative and digital strategy. The partnership follows a successful project with Temasek-backed digital transformation company Temus – where Progressive and Reson8 will continue to collaborate on earned, owned, and paid media to drive awareness and conversion for the firm’s signature hire, train, and place programme, Step IT Up x Temus, to develop Singapore’s tech talent pool, among other corporate reputation mandates.
According to Progressive Communications when it launched in August 2021, it had SG$500K in external investments and Dole Sunshine Company as a launch client. Earned-first, creativity, and storytelling are at the core of the public relations and communications firm, which has since worked with clients including Crestron, utu, Natural Trace, and Zuno Carbon.
“Our partnership with Reson8 is a step forward for Progressive following our successful launch 20 months ago,” said Tarun Deo (pictured right), founder and managing director, progressive communications. “No PR firm can truly call themselves ‘progressive’ without strong creative and social-digital capabilities, and we are thrilled to be moving into exciting territory with Reson8 – a fantastic partner with an impressive track record – where we will create content that resonates with our clients’ audiences.”
Incorporated in 2018, Reson8 Asia focuses on progressive digital-first solutions for brands to connect, converse and convert across audience segments. With a strong Singaporean leadership core and supported by future-ready ASEAN talents, Reson8 has already served more than 50 regional and local brands across Asia, including the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Jack & Jill, DTAC, Mazda, Morris Garages, HBO, Starhub, Viu, Ministry of Communications and Information, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, People’s Association, GovTech, as well as the top 3 global agency networks.
“Reson8 has come a long way over the last 4 eventful years, and we are thrilled to join forces with Progressive to build out and expand our services portfolio,” said Weijie Chow (pictured left), director, Reson8 Asia. “Combining our offerings with Progressive’s impeccable reputation in making magic for clients across earned and owned media completes the puzzle for marketers; I believe we now have an extraordinary offering that gives our clients a future-ready roadmap.”
