Ruder Finn names new Southeast Asia MD as Yu Poh Leng exits

Ruder Finn has appointed Martin Alintuck as managing director for Southeast Asia. The move comes as Yu Poh Leng (pictured) exits from the senior VP and general manager role for Singapore. Her replacement has not been decided yet, the agency confirmed to Marketing.He has worked with brands such as 3M, Chevron, Citibank, Dow Chemical, Ford, GE, Goldman Sachs, Haagen-Dazs, Johnson & Johnson, P&G, Starbucks, Unilever, Yum Brands, to name a few.Yu first joined Ruder Finn Singapore in 2010 and was promoted to general manager in 2011. Most recently, she was senior VP as of 2015, according to her LinkedIn. She also has more than two decades worth of experience in PR and communications, with expertise in strategic PR counsel, media relations, crisis communication, corporate positioning, as well as in the development and implementation of successful integrated campaigns.She has worked at companies such as Citigate Dewe Rogerson i.MAGE, Hill & Knowlton, PWC and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. In his new role, Alintuck will be responsible for the total operations of the agency’s offices in Singapore, Malaysia and affiliate networks. This includes growing Ruder Finn’s presence, P&L management, team management, client and new business development. He reports to Elan Shou, regional CEO of Ruder Finn, the company said in a statement to Marketing.“We are delighted to welcome Alintuck on board. Ruder Finn is having an extremely strong year and our Southeast Asian operations will play a significant role in the years to come. Alintuck has a great track record in building businesses, clients, people and teams – as well as terrific China and Asia experience. His client side role running the US Pavilion will also be invaluable,” Elan Shou, executive vice president, Asia director, Ruder Finn Asia, said in a statement to Marketing.
