Ruder Finn Malaysia has appointed Rantau Golin's GM, Adeline Phun, as GM to oversee its operations. Phun (pictured) is responsible for expanding the firm's integrated services, reinforcing reputation and crisis management capabilities within the market. She reports to Ruder Finn's Asia Pacific CEO, Elan Shou, and replaces Elya Eusoff who joined MSL Malaysia as GM last month. Some of Ruder Finn Malaysia’s key clients include Visa, 3M, Fonterra and Kenanga Investment Bank. LiveCom and Fintige Ventures were the most recent client additions for the agency.
With over 19 years of strategic communications experience, Phun's specialities include developing strategies for all-rounder communications plans, integrating marketing and communications goals, managing offline and online digital PR campaigns, media relations and client management, among others, said her LinkedIn.
"I am delighted to be joining Ruder Finn Asia, an award-winning consultancy that has a solid reputation in the industry. I look forward to partnering with Ruder Finn’s talent and clients to deliver business results through compelling communications counsel across research, strategy, digital, social, web, content and media," said Phun.
At the same time, Shou has said she was pleased to welcome Phun to the Ruder Finn Asia team. "Phun brings a wealth of experience in integrated communications and has a proven track record of orchestrating creative insight-driven campaigns. As we look to evolve our integrated marketing offerings and reputation management services, I am confident Phun will play a decisive role in the development of Ruder Finn in Malaysia,” she added.
Prior to joining Ruder Finn Malaysia, Phun helmed the general manager role at Rantau Golin for more than six years. As general manager, she advised clients in the areas of integrated communications, reputation management and media relations across the healthcare, financial, corporate, technology, mobility and FMCG sectors.
Before helming the general manager role at Rantau Golin, Phun was Rantau PR's account director for three years. As account director, she was responsible for developing and promoting existing business, building existing client relationships, and bringing new business to the agency. Rantau PR partnered with IPG's PR agency Golin in November 2018 and now goes by the name of Rantau Golin. The agency is currently led by Rantau founder Janitha Sukumaran and Rantau CEO Gogulan Dorairajoo. Sukumaran told A+M the agency is not seeking a new GM as it currently has a strong senior team in place. "We are however seeking a client services director," she said.
