Reshuffle at the National Gallery Singapore marketing team

Aun Koh (pictured right), editor in chief of Tatler Singapore has left the publication to take on the role of assistant chief executive (marketing and development) at National Gallery Singapore. Meanwhile, assistant chief executive Chris Lee (pictured left), has been appointed as assistant chief executive (operations) to lead the teams responsible for both physical and digital infrastructure, as well as essential administrative functions, to achieve operational excellence and foster innovation throughout the institution.

In line with this reorganisation, Lee will transition to overseeing departments such as visitor experience, innovation and technology, business development, finance, and facilities management and operations.

Meanwhile Koh, who reports to Eugene Tan, CEO shared with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that his appointment is part of a reorganisation undertaken by Tan as he's stepped in to the leadership role and assessed the needs of the museum.

As assistant chief executive, marketing and development, Koh has assumed responsibility for a new joint portfolio which includes marketing, communications, and creative services; along with fundraising and partnership development.

Koh is no stranger to conversations around culture and creativity having led the omnichannel content strategy that drove Tatler’s brand awareness, impact, and revenue through both the editorial and commercial content partnerships.

From 2004 to 2006, he also served as the deputy director of the then Visual and Literary Arts division at National Arts Council, overseeing the development of artists and institutions in the two sectors. The role included leading the presentation of the inaugural editions of the Singapore Art Show in 2005 and the Singapore Biennale in 2006.

He continues to be an active contributor and advocate for the arts in Singapore, serving on the Board of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, which is dedicated to the education and nurturing of art talents. He was also the founding Chairman of the Board of the Pangdemonium Theatre Company.

Koh also spearheaded the creation of the advocacy and development teams at the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre, and led the marketing, advocacy, development, and corporate community investment teams during his time at the national agency from 2013 to 2014.

He played a pivotal role in the agency’s branding, media, and marketing strategy, and redeveloped an outreach strategy to inform and inspire local companies to give sustainably.
