R3 appoints new executive vice president with global focus

Global marketing consultancy R3 has appointed digital advertising analyst Joanna O’Connell as its new executive vice president. O’Connell, who will be based in the US and handle the agency's work globally.
A respected digital pioneer with over 20 years industry, O’Connell will provide R3 clients with expertise in areas such as programmatic, data privacy and audience addressability. In her role as a consultant advisor, O’Connell will also advance R3’s proprietary methodologies and frameworks to further the efficiency and effectiveness of digital marketing.

Previously, O'Connell was vice president, principal analyst at Forrester, where she led advertising technology coverage across the digital advertising ecosystem, focusing on demand-side platforms (DSPs), ad servers, and dynamic creative optimization (DCO). She also spent two years as chief marketing officer at MediaMath in her career.
O'Connell joins a slew of recent senior global hires made by R3 in the last year. Last year, R3 hired Ben Jankowski, who joined the agency's media practice in New York. Previously, he was the SVP of media and sponsorships at Mastercard, and is touted to have an extensive career that spans APAC, China, and North America. According to his LinkedIn, he also previously held the role of global account director at OMD New York, before transitioning to OMD APAC as the head of global accounts from January 2010 to October 2010.
Joining Jankowski in the New York office is Constance Pincus. Having previously worked with brands such as Johnson & Johnson and across the specialist areas of immunology and oncology, R3 explained that she brings an expansive career in pharmaceutical marketing. Prior to the appointment, Pincus was a freelance at Agency Relations Consultant, where she supported clients' needs in agency selections, benchmarking, contract and pricing negations, evaluating performance, building sustainable talent and strong agency partnerships.
Additionally, R3 has also hired Andrew Lambert, who is currently based in London. With more than twenty years of experience in global financial marketing, Lambert most recently assumed the role of senior director of global brand marketing at Visa.
