Adtech firm Quantcast names new managing director for North Asia

American advertising technology company Quantcast has appointed Sally Ng (pictured) as managing director for North Asia, as part of its expansion in the APAC region. 

Effective immediately, the appointment follows Quantcast’s recent expansion in its Singapore and Australian offices, with the addition of six new commercial and sales management roles, according to the release.

In this newly created role, Ng will lead the growth of Quantcast in Hong Kong, China Outbound, Taiwan, and other North Asia markets, while being based in Hong Kong. She will report to Sonal Patel, vice president, APAC, Quantcast.

A spokesperson from Quantcast told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that the decision to hire a managing director for North Asia comes after more than three years of consistent growth in the region and reflects the company's strategic investment to meet the increasing demand.

Ng joins Quantcast from programmatic digital out-of-home platform Hivestack by Perion where she was regional vice president for Greater China. She has more than 23 years of experience in the digital industry, having held senior sales, client service, and regional roles with Sojern, AdParlor, AudienceScience, Simzek (formerly MediaMind), and Yahoo. 

Over the past two decades, Ng has focused on sales and business development, applying her expertise and leadership to support several global ad tech companies in entering the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets and educating stakeholders about programmatic advertising, according to the release.

In addition, Quantcast has appointed Yanny Chan as client success manager in Hong Kong. Both roles are effective immediately. 

Meanwhile, Chan joins Quantcast from IPG Mediabrands Hong Kong where she was a digital specialist. She has also worked with PHD in the performance team and was a digital marketing executive at Statrys. Chan will report to Joyce Seah, head of client success, APAC, Quantcast.
