Publicis Groupe Indonesia has made a slew of senior appointments. It has brought on board Mudit Trivedi (pictured left), VMLY&R Jakarta's MD, to lead Publicis Communications as MD as it continues to accelerate Publicis Groupe’s "Power of One" offering. It was understood by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE previously that VMLY&R folded its operations under Wunderman Thompson in Jakarta this year. Trivedi previously worked at Wunderman Thompson, TBWA\ India, Ogilvy and McCann.

Meanwhile, also joining the senior leadership team is Rohit Mallela (pictured right), who will lead Digitas Indonesia and serve as the digital acceleration lead across Groupe agencies. Before Publicis Groupe, Mallela co-founded Switch Digital Network together with Pradeep Harikrishnan and also worked at Ambient Digital Indonesia, Mediabrands, J. Walter Thompson, Ogilvy, and Interactive Avenues. Mallela was previously with DigitasLBi from 2013 to 2015 as senior creative director in Mumbai, his LinkedIn said.

Trivedi said: “In this connected age, it is not only important but the only way forward to drive integration between different disciplines and capabilities. Through the Power of One, Publicis Groupe has been driving this change from the front. I am really excited to be part of this journey and look forward to creating transformative solutions for our clients.”

Sony Nichani, CEO of Publicis Groupe, said the past year has been focused on consolidation and rejuvenating client relationships: “As we look at digital maturity across our clients and their own ambition, it’s important for us to ensure that we also build the right capabilities, which will help partner their ambitions and help with integration. In Trivedi and Mallela, we believe we have found the right mix of relevant Indonesian experience combined with their ability to lead global and regional accounts," she added.

Price was previously from Taiwan and has spent over 15 years in Asia across markets and agencies leading creative. Trivedi, Mallela, Sarmiento and Price are all based in Jakarta.

Ravi Shanker, ECD at Publicis Groupe Indonesia, said: “Our continued effort to elevate our creative product across touchpoints has been yielding results. Sarmiento and Price join us to accelerate this momentum by doing brave and breakthrough work.”
