Publicis Groupe's creative agency Le Pub has appointed Hanh Kanssen (pictured left), general manager and Cyril Louis (pictured right), executive creative director. Both hires are effective immediately and will be responsible for the APAC region.

Louis has already been part of Publicis Groupe since a year ago, and joined the Le Pub's team this year. Prior to Le Pub, he was the global group creative director for ad agency Elephant for over one year, based in the US. He also worked for IT firm IBM iX as executive creative director MEA. He was the creative lead for the Middle East and Africa region and managed the creative output for the offices located in Dubai, Johannesburg, Istambul, and Ryad.

For nearly two years, Louis was the executive creative director for the Prime Minister's Office of UAE. Louis started his career building robots in the South of France. Since then, he has designed products and crafted brands and businesses in London and Australia, created physical and digital experiences in Singapore and Tokyo, and led Beats by Dre and EA games globally in Los Angeles.

Now back in Asia, Louis is leading creative for Heineken APAC and Tiger Beer globally as executive creative director, Le Pub APAC. “If you're offered a seat on a rocket ship, don't ask what seat! Just get on. Now let's ride!” Le Pub APAC’s executive creative director said.

With her deep and native insight into Asian and Vietnamese consumer lifestyles and experiences, Kanssen is passionate about creating meaningful connections between brands and their consumers, the release said. Her career spans Asia, Europe, and North America where she helped drive significant growth for global brands.

“Le Pub is a new breed of agency that helps to build brands in culture. This is extremely refreshing and exciting to be a part of. We are in a sweet spot as a creative agency that sits within a larger network, Publicis Groupe’s Power of One, with access to all of its integrated capabilities for the best solutions,” Kanssen said.

Le Pub’s Kanssen said that she personally feels very proud of the world-class creative talent we have on the team, all handpicked to focus on building the next generation of brands that have a strong presence at the table of culture.

Amrita Randhawa, CEO, Singapore and Southeast Asia, Publicis Groupe shared: “I can’t think of two people better placed to bring Le Pub’s award-winning model to APAC: Kanssen, who has lived in several Asian markets and has her finger on the pulse of the latest cultural trends, and Louis, who is a true creative hybrid with a passion for technology. Together, they are building something special.”

Last year, Publicis Groupe's creative business Le Pub expanded its service for Heineken globally in its major markets with new offices in Singapore, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Cape Town and Shanghai.

Le Pub was first launched in 1 January 2021, to deliver best in-class consumer experiences, drive sales and give Heineken a sustainable competitive advantage. Under the leadership of Bruno Bertelli, global CEO of Le Pub and CCO of Publicis Worldwide, Le Pub has since worked with brands such as Netflix, Powerade, Diesel and Barilla.
