Ogilvy has appointed Ida Siow (pictured) as senior strategy partner for Ogilvy Asia. Returning to the agency after six years, she will work across China as a key market and the broader region, applying her expertise to multinational clients as well as global and Asia-wide projects.

Partnering with the creative and strategy teams, she will play a crucial role in developing innovative offerings and sharpening creative effectiveness to drive growth for businesses, said the release.

Siow is a global strategist with over 15 years of experience on global brand leaders and fresh disruptors in Europe, China, and Southeast Asia. Prior to rejoining Ogilvy, she led 72andSunny as president of its Singapore office and helmed the role as head of planning for Singapore and Southeast Asia at J. Walter Thompson.

She first joined the Ogilvy family in 2012 as planning partner for Ogilvy Shanghai, where she built a strong portfolio of international and local clients across consumer-packaged goods, travel, tech and B2B sectors, according to the release.

I firmly believe that her energy, intellect, and unwavering passion will push the boundaries of our work to new heights, as we collaborate together with the team,” said Arvind Srivastava, chief strategy officer of Ogilvy Asia.

Meanwhile, Siow said: “Coming back to Ogilvy feels like a homecoming for me. It also feels timely. As we enter a post-Covid era with new economic and geopolitical realities, now more than ever, we need bold thinking and exceptional creativity to help businesses not just survive but thrive. I can think of no better home to take on that challenge."
