MINISO names Indonesian superstar as first perfume ambassador

Global lifestyle brand MINISO has officially unveiled Indonesian superstar, Prilly Latuconsina, as its first perfume ambassador in the country according to the brand in a statement.

The award-winning actress, singer, and host was introduced at the grand opening of MINISO’s perfume pop-up store in the atrium of Depok City’s MargoCity shopping mall.

The celebrity is known as one of Indonesia’s most influential young stars with over 54 million followers on Instagram. She was chosen and appointed this role due to her personality and talent, as well as her presence as a role model for young women and girls. 

By having her as the brand's perfume ambassador, MINISO aims to increase brand and perfume product awareness in the Indonesian market. As a female role model, Latuconsina also embodies the brand's core ambition of fragrance, that is to deliver joy, confidence, and self-love.

In her new role, the actress will act as the bridge between young women and girls to the brand through the establishment of a deeper emotional connection. Her appointment will run for year. 

The singer also took to her own page, showcasing her presence at the event. This was done as an Instagram reel, where she was performing a well-known song at the event. In an earlier post, she also expressed her own excitement to take on this new role.

She will be featured in different fragrance & perfume related campaigns of MINISO in Indonesia, but the brand currently does not have detailed plans about future project or campaigns that she may feature in. 

In addition to the appointment, a new perfume collection was also released and featured at the brands perfumer pop-up store. The artist fronted the new campaign, with pictures from the photoshoot being posted on the brand social media page, where fans could see the artist posing alongside the new MINISO collection.

The pop-up store was designed to heighten shoppers' sense of wonder and enchantment, with many decorations that provide the perfect backdrop for MINISO’s new perfumes.



A fairy photo booth and scent-card interactive installation allowed for fans to engage with the brand and encouraged traffic and awareness on social media.

The new collections and announcement of Latuconsina as the brand’s first-ever fragrance ambassador in Indonesia underline MINISO’s belief in the potential of the perfume market, as it aims to provide consumers with fragrances that they truly love.

MINISO also launched a new flagship store in New York as part of its global expansion. The opening of the Times Square store also marks one of MINISO’s biggest milestones since its founding in 2013.

The new flagship will have an upgraded look and nine dedicated zones, including licensed collections, blind box collectibles, toys, plushies, fragrances, accessories, makeup tools, snacks as well as gifts and stationery.
