Winnie Chen-Head, Mindshare Malaysia's head of product, strategy and innovation, is leaving the agency after more than two years. Chen-Head (pictured) returned to the GroupM agency in 2019 after more than a year with Fave as its GM, marketing and business development.

According to her LinkedIn, she led product development, partnerships and innovation; strategic marketing communications and media planning; as well as new business pitches for the agency during her time there. Among the list of clients she has worked with include Pizza Hut, Friesland Campina, Suntory Beberage, UNICEF, Ferrero, Dyson, and Unilever.

In total, she spent more years with GroupM, having also worked at MediaCom Malaysia as business director for more than a year in 2015. "Having spent cumulative around four years with GroupM from MediaCom to Mindshare, I'm grateful for everything that the I've learnt and experienced," she told A+M.

From winning multiple big pitches, to working with many global masterbrands to local gems, working with some of the best team she can ever ask for, Chen-Head said she will always have a soft spot for all of these as she moves on in my next chapter.

Chen-Head has a wealth of experience on the client-side. At Fave, she led the market operations for Malaysia and oversaw functions from merchant acquisition to consumer marketing and local operational efficiencies. Before that, she was also group CMO of Asian Room Service, according to her LinkedIn, leading group marketing with a focus on performance-based marketing, offline marketing, and merchant relations, among others.

She also led the marketing teams at ZALORA Malaysia, AirAsia X and Celcom. At ZALORA, Chen-Head helmed the role of head of marketing where she managed cross-channel marketing, social media, deals and partnerships, as well as media planning and management, her LinkedIn said. As AirAsia X's head of marketing, she oversaw commercial and profitability management of inbound and outbound routes in Australia, Europe and North India.

At the same time, as Celcom Axiata's head of mobile advertising and product marketing, Chen-Head's LinkedIn said she single-handedly built the mobile advertising team as a new business revenue stream with full P&L responsibility. During her time there, she was responsible for defining a business plan, financial modelling, and building a five-year product roadmap, among other duties. A+M has reached out to Mindshare Malaysia for comment on her replacement.
