Maybank has released a video in line with its ongoing “MYStories” campaign this Hari Raya to spread the message of how the force of good can make an impact in society. The video features the life story of Puan Masliza bt Abu Bakar, also known as Ummu, a former mortician who found her calling to open up an orphanage. It aims to highlight how the support Ummu receives from her family and members of the local community lightens her burden as she cares for the orphans and her nine children. In addition, to make donations easier for Maybank2U (M2U) app users, Maybank has rolled out a feature within the app where users can choose to donate the reward money they receive after every eDuit Raya transaction, from now until 15 July. All donations will go to the causes listed on the MaybankHeart platform and Malaysians can also view the total value of contributions made from the public on the M2U app.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EF1AZTPmmk“The MYStories video series is one that we hold dear, as it highlights values that we believe ring true in all our lives – compassion, generosity and commitment. Through this video series, we want to uphold ourselves to our mission of ‘Humanising Financial Services’, and try our utmost to play our part in being the ‘force of good’ and hopefully lead change from that front. The beautiful thing about the art of giving is that it is not limited to just money, but also time, energy and knowledge,” said Datuk Abdul Farid Alias, group president and CEO of Maybank.“Every day, we see kind souls caring for the needy with what little they have, all to bring love and joy to others. Ummu is one such individual, and we are honoured to be able to highlight her cause via our MYStories series. We hope she will be an inspiration to all Malaysians to play our role as every small deed counts, and remind us that every day is a good day to be kind to others,” he added.Read also:Maybank and Petron jump on superhero hype with MARVEL run sponsorshipMaybank and AirAsia among brands loved by Malaysian womenMaybank SG unveils cafe style concept branch to engage the youthMaybank spotlights unsung heroes in Malaysia Day campaign
