Singapore Tourism Board strikes gold again. This time with Coldplay where the band's latest music video for the song "Man in The Moon," will be featuring a vibrant and unique side of Singapore, giving fans a fresh perspective of the city-state.
The video, released today, blends Coldplay's signature sound with Singapore's dynamic cityscape and diverse talent. It was done in partnership with STB and Warner Music Singapore.
The music video was shot during the band's Music of the Spheres World Tour stop in Singapore in January 2024, and showcases a stunning mix of iconic landmarks and hidden gems. From the awe-inspiring Marina Bay to the lush tranquillity of Fort Canning Park, the footage captures the energy and beauty of the city, reflecting the song's themes of unity and shared human experience.
"While we were in Singapore, we shot the video and captured some of the amazing, young, vibrant people that we had met. We are interested in shooting things in places we have never filmed before and mixing people up as much as possible. It was really fun to have a kind of dance party out in the middle of the water, just us and the otters," Coldplay said in a release.

The video also features a diverse group of Singaporean youths, from striking cosplay artists to daring creatives, whose passion and energy embody the spirit of the track. With its multicultural backdrop, the video highlights Singapore's inclusive identity, where individuals from various backgrounds and identities come together to celebrate a shared vision.
A particularly striking moment comes at the video's finale, when the youth join Coldplay on a floating stage at Marina Bay, all coming together to sing the anthemic chorus.
To mark the release of the video, Coldplay hosted an exclusive fan event on 5 February 2025, at Marina Bay Sands' newly revamped SkyPark deck. Fans gathered to watch the premiere of "Man in The Moon," setting the stage for an evening celebrating both music and the spirit of Singapore.
This isn't the first time a mega music star has showcased Singapore in their music video. In 2022, Billie Eilish released two live videos for her songs TV and The 30th where the videos were filmed in the Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore.
In the same year, Charlie Puth was also seen doing a shout-out to STB’s beloved mascot Merlion Instagram as part of the SingapoReimagine campaign. The collaboration culminated in a video being released in October the same year.
