KFC Singapore wraps up juicy creative pitch

KFC Singapore has chosen R/GA Singapore as its creative agency partner, with a new campaign due to kick off in April. According to the company, it is seeking to further raise its brand awareness and presence and evolve the role the brand plays in culture.
As creative agency partner, R/GA will be working with KFC across creative communications for TV, POS, OOH and digital across key business pillars. In a previous statement, KFC Singapore said that the appointment is slated for a year, with an option to renew annually. KFC Singapore added that incumbent TSLA will remain on the roster, along with Havas Singapore which handles media buying, and Arena Media which handles social. For PR purposes, KFC Singapore works with Ninemer for PR.

Lim also earlier told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that she hopes to find an agency with fresh ideas that will bring excitement to fans and creative works that continue building KFC as a distinctive brand in Singapore.”
R/GA Singapore executive creative director Ed Cheong, added that change is in the DNA of R/GA. “So, when the pitch called for a different but incisive answer to the way KFC shows up in the market, we knew that this was a challenge we relished. We’re thrilled by the appointment and can’t wait to reaffirm the faith placed in us by the team,” he said.
“The R/GA Singapore team cannot wait to work with KFC to realise our collective ambitions for the brand,” said R/GA Singapore, general manager, Marianne Whitman. “Fried chicken is a universally loved dish that transcends generations – and we’re very much looking forward to getting people craving for crispy, juicy, fried chicken.”
The appointment comes just a few months after Johnson Yohannan was appointed as the head of KFC Singapore, effective 1 December 2022. He is currently responsible for the entire operations of the KFC business as well as sales, strategy, growth, and people.
