KFC Malaysia names new CMO

KFC Malaysia has named Hanim Mazam (pictured) as its new chief marketing officer (CMO). Prior to her role as KFC's CMO, Mazam was the company's deputy general manager of marketing for three years. In her position, she built and launched an eCommerce app and website on Magento through sprint planning while driving eCommerce acquisition, loyalty and customer relationship management for KFC.
Mazam also worked on partnerships and acquisitions with foodpanda, GrabFood, ShoppeeFood and AirAsia Food. Additionally, she oversaw paid and owned media, optimising media spends to drive system sales. From 2019 to 2021, Mazam was the senior manager of marketing at KFC.

Before joining KFC, she worked in the marketing team at Malaysia satellite operator Astro, where she led the company's Pay TV marketing across consumer lifecycles.
For about two years back in 2016, Mazam was the engagement director at Entropia Global, where she researched and analysed consumer insights across various applications while working on branding consulting projects. Prior to her time at Entropia Global, Mazam took on the role of associate director at IPG Mediabrands, after her stints as the company's group lead and media supervisor.
As group lead, she managed regional accounts in Malaysia, ASEAN, EU and ANZ, overseeing a local team of 11 with additional responsibilities. Mazam also spearheaded and led all digital performance related, including analysing website conversion data, optimising publishers based on business objectives and identifying new ways to optimise performance. Additionally, she strategiaed and planned campaigns across multiple countries, unique to each market's landscape.

In September last year, KFC Singapore named Jaslyn Lam as its newest marketing director. This came shortly after Juliana Lim, its former senior marketing director, transitioned to lead the Pizza Hut's office in Singapore as its general manager.
In Lam's role as KFC Singapore's marketing director, she will focus on enhancing brand development, improving operational efficiency, and driving business growth.
According to the company, Lam's background in both agency and client-side roles provides her with a versatile skill set, ready to deliver impactful results, KFC said. Lam was previously the managing director at The Atelier & Co. where she worked closely with its founder and executive director to oversee operations, marketing efforts and business development across all business segments and with a focus on exclusive luxury experiences for B2B and B2C customers.
