Malaysia supermarket chain, Jaya Grocer, has collaborated with Grab Signature Brands to launch Jaya Grocer Private Labels.
Jaya Grocer Private Labels has curated its collection to meet the taste and quality customers expect by tapping onto Grab Signature Brands, a collection of restaurant and merchant-partners on Grab, it said in the statement.
The new range of exclusive products will feature Malaysia’s best-loved brands beginning with Village Park Nasi Lemak’s renowned Sambal Nasi Lemak.
The partnership is part of the supermarket chain's ongoing efforts to enhance the overall shopping experience for customers by offering specialty products they won’t find anywhere else, said Jaya Grocer's CEO, Adelene Foo (pictured right).

Foo shared that the idea behind Jaya Grocer Private Labels is to bring brands Malaysians know and love right onto its shelves. "This not only expands our exclusive product offerings, but also helps to make it more accessible and convenient for Malaysians to enjoy," she added.
The supermarket chain planned for over a year to make this happen and it is excited to finally offer Village Park Nasi Lemak’s sambal to its customers, making it the first time for the sambal's availability on the shelf of any supermarket chain, she shared.

Aside from this launch, Jaya Grocer also recently launched an initiative called ‘Farm fresh milk on tap @ Jaya Grocer’.
The initiative was born out of the aim to create more awareness around sustainability and reduce single-use plastics. Thus far, the initiative has been a hit with customers as stated in a release to the press, which led to the retail chain expanding its facility to three more outlets.
