Production company Beach House Pictures, a Fremantle company, has appointed Benjamin Lee (pictured), also known as Mr Miyagi, as its head of commercial and marketing.
In this key leadership role, Lee will spearhead the group’s commercial partnerships, marketing initiatives and strategic growth across its portfolio, which includes Beach House Labs and Space Lion Studios.
As head of commercial and marketing, Lee will focus on positioning Beach House Labs and Space Lion Studios as the de facto content-led brand storytelling partners for organisations across various sectors. He will also create new opportunities for broader Beach House Pictures’ content production across multiple platforms.

His appointment aligns with Beach House Pictures’ vision to strengthen its position as a premier content-driven brand storytelling partner for both private and public sector organisations, according to a statement seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
Lee brings over two decades of experience as a content creator, storyteller and strategic communications expert to the role. He was most recently at DSTNCT as director for creative and content strategy.
Previously, he was head of content strategy at Tribal Worldwide Singapore and chief storyteller at Telling Stories. Other positions he’s held include director of The Minejima Company, a brand focused on durable and fun items for kids and adult and creative director at Protocol.
He was also creative director of both GEN X SINGAPORE and UNMASTERED, and had spent four years at Tango5, an agency launched by DDB which specialises in championing social impact.
In tandem, Lee has also made significant contributions to the public sector, having led key projects across almost every Singapore Government ministry in the past decade, said the statement.
Having continuously guided the public sector in adopting new media content as a key channel of policy communications, Lee was also recently involved in two groundbreaking content series involving cabinet members of the nation’s new leadership team.
"I'm excited to join the Beach House Pictures Group and contribute to its continued growth and success," said Lee about his role.
“Beach House has an incredible reputation globally for world-class content, and I look forward to finding innovative and exciting ways of storytelling for brands and consumers alike,” he added.
Beach House Pictures co-founders Donovan Chan and Jocelyn Little welcomed the appointment, stating: "Lee brings a unique blend of creative storytelling and strategic commercial thinking that perfectly complements our team.”
”His extensive experience across multiple platforms and his deep understanding of the Singapore market will be invaluable as we continue to expand our commercial offerings. We're thrilled to welcome him to the Beach House family,” they added.
