James Hawkins steps down as PHD APAC's CEO

James Hawkins has stepped down as CEO of PHD Asia Pacific after just under six years in the role, according to a statement by the agency.
"I feel privileged to have contributed to the rich PHD legacy and achieved so much with the brand in Asia Pacific. We have consistently punched way beyond our weight in new business, global awards and stand out client satisfaction," said Hawkins.
"So, after almost 6 years with PHD Asia Pacific, I am stepping down from my role as CEO. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together during my tenure, from winning new business, strengthening existing client relationships to seeing growth across all key areas including business, creativity, effectiveness and DEI," he added.

"It has been an incredible journey and I leave behind an agency that is going from strength to strength. I wish the most important asset, the people, all the very best.
In his role at PHD, Hawkin was tasked with channeling PHD’s upward momentum in the region and taking the agency’s future-facing offering to the next level.
"We would like to thank James for his contributions towards PHD's success in Asia Pacific. These achievements form a solid foundation for the agency to build upon while leveraging the agency as a platform model to chart its future in this evolving media landscape. We wish Hawkins all the best in his endeavors," said Tony Harradine, CEO, Omnicom Media Group Asia Pacific.
Prior to his stint at PHD, Hawkin was managing director APAC at dentsu X, a role he held for just over a year. He was also chief digital officer at dentsu media and president of dentsu's digital capabilities where he drove dentsu's digital capabilities accross the region.
