Indosat Ooredoo has tied up with mobile advertising and data monetisation firm, Out There Media (OTM), to strengthen its digital advertising strategy. The telco will adopt OTM’s proprietary and mobile engagement technology platform, Mobucks, and leverage OTM’s network of brands and brand agencies.
With Mobucks, Indosat Ooredoo can bring subscribers targeted and interactive messaging campaigns from its chosen brand and agency partners. In addition to this partnership, Indosat Ooredoo has recently joined the humanitarian initiative led by Out There Impact, OTM’s impact division committed to using the power of mobile technology for the greater good.
Together with several other global mobile operators, Indosat Ooredoo will take part in an educational mobile campaign launched by Out There Impact on behalf of the World Health Organisation to help contain the ongoing spread of COVID-19. The campaign is being distributed to more than 300 million global citizens via OTM’s global network of mobile operators.
Ritesh Kumar Singh, Indosat Ooredoo's chief commercial officer, said today more than ever, it is critical that the telco is able to connect with its subscribers in impactful, engaging, interactive, and innovative ways. "Mobile advertising is a key part to achieving this, and we’re delighted to be officially partnering with OTM to further our ambitions in this space. With this partnership, we’re looking forward to delivering interactive mobile advertising campaigns that go beyond the reach of traditional advertising channels available today," he said.
Meanwhile, OTM's sales director Indonesia, Michael Jahotsen, said the team is extremely excited to have been selected by Indosat Ooredoo to support its mobile ad offering. "We’re looking forward to launching some exciting campaigns with Indosat Ooredoo’s brand partners to demonstrate just how transformative and powerful Mobucks can be for the operator and brand world," he said.
This partnership comes shortly after it tied up with Google Cloud to accelerate digital transformation across consumer and enterprise segments in Indonesia. Both companies aim to digitally transform by creating a marketplace of tailored software-as-a-service offerings with a goal of fully digitising SMBs from the day they register their businesses and at every stage of their business journeys.
