Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has appointed Vincent Kwok (pictured) as general manager for Hong Kong and Macau to lead sales in the market. Kwok will report to Jon Wang, whose role was recently expanded to HPE’s managing director of Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Kwok has more than 25 years of experience in the technology sector. Prior to his new role, Kwok was HPE’s deputy managing director for Hong Kong and Macau. Kwok joined HPE in 2018 from DELL EMC to lead HPE’s hybrid IT and presales business in Hong Kong and Macau. According to his LinkedIn, Kwok had worked at DELL EMC for over 17 years.
MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to HPE for more information.
Jon Wang, managing director, HPE Hong Kong and Taiwan, said: “Kwok is an experienced and well-respected industry leader in Hong Kong and the region who brings the team valuable technical know-how and business acumen. I am looking forward to working with him to drive ongoing success for HPE in Asia Pacific.”
Vincent Kwok, general manager of HPE Hong Kong and Macau, said: "Artificial intelligence (AI), hybrid cloud, and sustainability will be three important trends for our industry in 2024. AI will further accelerate automation and optimisation across organisations in Hong Kong, powered by strong hybrid cloud architecture. Sustainability also remains top of mind for business leaders, as customers, shareholders and regulators expect companies to do more around environment, social and governance (ESG).”
“Our mission is to help both business and IT leaders in Hong Kong unlock the power of their data and seize new opportunities by establishing the right hybrid cloud foundation and providing them a seamless, cloud-native experience across edge-to-cloud,” Kwok added.
Meanwhile, HPE has promoted Gabriel Leung to executive advisor and will continue to contribute his expertise to the company. He was previously managing director of Hong Kong and Macau.
Don't miss: Schneider Electric and HP Enterprise look to offer sustainable solutions
Back in September, HPE signed an agreement with Schneider Electric to provide APAC customers with a broad range of sustainability IT products and services. This was in an attempt to make choices easier for customers when it came to choosing products that reduce the carbon footprint.
Covering Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia, the agreement was built on 20 years of collaboration between the two companies in the region. The partnership saw them work together to help customers drive down their IT carbon footprint and emissions.
