Earlier in June this year, Hongkong Post has announced its release of commemorative stamps and associated philatelic products to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR and the stationing of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in Hong Kong on 1 July 2022.
Hongkong Post will issue a set of commemorative stamps in four denominations, a souvenir sheet and other philatelic products, of which the stamps symbolise that the HKSAR has been brought back to the right track of "one country, two systems" after the implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law and the improvement of the electoral system, which would help bring long-term stability and prosperity to the city. According to the press statement, such initiatives safeguard the country's sovereignty, security and development interests and ensure the steadfast and successful implementation of "one country, two systems". The stamps also feature the cultivation of a sense of national identity in students.
