Hill+Knowlton Strategies bolsters leadership for HK with two promotions

Global communications company Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) has promoted Angela Kung (pictured left) and Madison Wai (pictured right) as its vice president of financial communications and vice president of corporate communications respectively.

As co-general manager of H+K Hong Kong, Kung and Wai will partner to lead the firm’s business development and operations in Hong Kong. Being the leadership group of H+K Greater Bay Area, Kung, Wai and Emily Yin, senior vice president of H+K Strategies China and general manager of H+K Southern China all report to Jun Xu, CEO, H+K China, on their collective responsibility to drive operational integration and continued growth in the sub-region.

Both Kung and Wai are seasoned communications professionals and people leaders. Kung is an experienced marketing, corporate and financial communications professional with over 20 years of extensive and solid experiences in advertising, brand building, media communications and event management.​

Since her onboarding H+K in 2011 as an account director, she has led corporate and financial communications works for many blue chips in Hong Kong and China-headquartered listed financial and technology companies, ranging from strategic counselling, financial media relations, investor and analyst relations, issues management to event management. She has also supported to several high-profile IPO and M&A projects in the Hong Kong stock exchange market.

Wai is a full-fledged corporate communications professional with over 20 years of solid experiences in Hong Kong and neighbouring regional markets. She specialises in corporate communications (branding and shaping narratives), content strategy and publishing, executive profiling, training for spokespersons, B2B marketing, thought leadership and regional marketing campaigns.

At H+K, she leads the corporate communications team in Hong Kong and expands the client portfolio with content-led communications advisory and media strategies. Her clients include HSBC, Ping An OneConnect Bank, McDonalds, Rolex, UNIQLO, AECOM, Lalamove, Spotify, Shell, Hong Kong Association of Banks, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and Hong Kong Tourism Board (business travel). 

Commenting on the promotions, Jun Xu, H+K China CEO, said: “Last year, under the great leadership of Kung and Wai, our business growth and client servicing capabilities in Hong Kong have been great, contributing greatly to H+K’s strong growth in China as a whole."
