Hepmil Media Group has appointed Michelle Tan (pictured left) as CEO of Hepmil Singapore, reporting to Karl Mak (pictured centre), co-founder of the company.
Tan is the first domestic CEO in the group's history, having started her journey in 2015 as head of business development and accounts. She later assumed the role of general manager in April 2022. In the last nine years, Tan has helped build SGAG and Hepmil Creator's Network.
In her new role, Tan will lead the group's market to new heights.

Prior to joining Hepmil Media Group, Tan did a stint at Ogilvy & Mather, leading its IBM ASEAN regional accounts.
In tandem, Cassi Yang (pictured right) has been named as chief commercial officer of Hepmil Media Group. In her new role, she will oversee all commercial activities across all six markets in the region and will work to expand and deepen the group's impact and reach.
Similar to Tan, Yang started her role in Hepmil Media Group in 2015 as a group executive. She also served the role of manager of innovation and marketing of SGAG as well as agency lead and regional general manager of Hepmil Creator's Network.
“Tan and Yang have been with us since the very beginning, and their growth within Hepmil Media Group has been incredible to watch. Tan’s knack for building strong teams and her strategic thinking have been key to the success of SGAG and Hepmil Creators’ Network.
"She has successfully scaled our Singapore team from five to 100 employees over the past nice years, while concurrently establishing a strong network of commercial partners, giving us full confidence in her ability to lead Hepmil Singapore as CEO," said Mak when MARKETING-INTERACTIVE reached out.
"On the other hand, Yang’s hands-on experience with every major commercial and innovation project and her role in expanding our markets have been game-changers for us. This experience has allowed her to win major regional deals across all six markets across all product segments. Yang has also built a world-class sales team with an equally solid client success team in every market. These factors have given us faith in her ability to scale Hepmil Media Group into our next phase as chief commercial officer," he added.
These new appointments come as Hepmil Philippines opened its newest production hub in Manila City. This new production hub responds to the growing demand for virtual production services.
Additionally, Hepmil PH announced plans to integrate livestreaming capabilities into its new studio setup to enhance audience engagement and broaden the reach of its content offerings.
The hub expansion is accompanied by a new content lineup, which aims to provide more opportunities for creators to showcase their talents and for audiences to connect with genuine stories. The new shows are scheduled for release in the next half of 2024.
