Hari Raya 2025: Roundup of Raya packets from Malaysian brands

Hari Raya is a time for celebration, family, and giving. One of the most cherished traditions during this festive season is the giving of duit raya (Raya money), often wrapped in beautifully designed packets.

This year, Malaysian brands have outdone themselves with unique and eye-catching designs that reflect the spirit of the season. From modern twists to traditional motifs, here’s a look at 11 Hari Raya packets that are sure to add a touch of joy and style to your celebrations.

1. Airasia Brand Co. (Abc.)


Abc.'s Raya packet was designed in-house, led by its lead creator for brand E Wyn Shum and senior illustrator Baihaqi Ismail. The designs brought in AirAsia's characters, the AirAsia Buds. Each packet carries a different message.

Abc. told A+M, that they represented AirAsia's role as the "red thread" connecting across distances. When put together, the five packets paint a picture of togetherness. The packets also tie-in with the brand's overarching Raya theme, "Raya tanpa sempadan, AirAsia mengeratkan" ('Raya without borders, AirAsia brings us closer').

Baihaqi Ismail said "Through this artwork, I want to bring those memories together in one piece, capturing the excitement of balik kampung and the little world of imagination I had as a kid. By putting the kampung scene on this sampul, I can always have a piece of that Raya feeling with me."

2. Baskin-Robbins

Baskin-Robbins' Raya packets this year, is anchored on the theme of "balik kampung" (return to hometown), reflecting Malaysians who return home to celebrate the festive season with their families and loved ones.

Designed by local artist group Bingka KL, the packet in a pretty pastel pink features a scene of a kampung house and a family made up of ice-cream characters celebrating Raya. 

Baskin-Robbins told A+M, the concept behind the design also centered around the joy of eating ice cream with loved ones during Hari Raya. This is also the first time the ice-cream brand has engaged a local artist to design its Raya packets. It hopes that its collaboration with local artists will provide a memorable experience for its customers. 

3. Bata Malaysia 

Footwear brand Bata Malaysia has collaborated with Malaysian artist and illustrator Arif Rafhan for its web exclusive Raya packets, bringing art and culture together for the festive season.

The “Bata x Arif Rafhan” Raya packets, are beautifully designed with intricate patterns and vibrant colors, to reflect the warmth, excitement, and spirit of togetherness that define the festive season.

The first design on the front of the packet, features a variety of popular kuih Raya (cakes and snacks), some bamboo pelita (oil lamps), as well as a scene of two women greeting each other. The back design portrays Bata’s iconic logo, on the backdrop of some Raya night fireworks. The scene is framed by an array of colourful flowers which are popular Malaysian batik motifs.

4. CelcomDigi

In line with its #EratkanIkatan (tighten the bond) Raya campaign, CelcomDigi has invited four artists to design its Raya packets, in efforts to highlight young local talents. 

The four designs are: "Malam Raya yang bahagia" ('A joyous Raya night') by Faten Othman, "Pelita, ketupat dan meow" ('Lamps, rice cakes, and meow') by Fatin Halim, "Beraya di rumah nenek" ('Celebrating Raya and grandma's house') by Lee Chein Shyan and "Hore-hore balik kampung" ('Hurray, we're going back to our hometown') by Lee Tze Yang. 

CelcomDigi said, the four designs crafted by four talented youths from diverse backgrounds were selected, each reflecting the essence of unity, tradition and the joyous spirit of Hari Raya.

5. CHAGEE Malaysia


Tea chain CHAGEE released its Colours of Raya collection, which included exclusive sampul Raya (packets) and scarves. The packets were available for customers who purchased RM30 and above in a single receipt, while the scarves were available as a part of a bundle deal with a white peach oolong milk tea for RM24.90. 

The packets featured a set five pastel hued square envelopes, inspired by the intricate beauty of traditional tiles. The designs blend tea, floralsm and CHAGEE elements, which CHAGEE said captured the different moods of the season.

6. Express Rail Link (ERL)


Express Rail Link (ERL) is celebrating its 23rd year of Raya-inspired initiatives with a set of exclusive Raya packets designed by local artists. The packets, which were distributed to ERL passengers, are aimed at evoking fond memories of balik kampung (return to hometown) journeys. 

The designs include local and traditional elements such as batik cloth cradle, stone mortar and pestle, tiffin carrier, Mengkuang mat and pedal sewing machine.

7. RHB


This year, local bank RHB's Raya packets were co-created with its creative partner, FCB Shout. The packets are exclusive for its banking customers, and is inspired the dokoh, a traditional Malay accessory. The dokoh usually consists of a central pendant, surrounded by smaller pendant, arranged on a chain and worn around the neck with kebayas (traditional Malay dress).

The packet in a deep emerald green, features an intricate design of the necklace's decorative alloy pieces, in gold and silver. 

Historically, they were often associated with social status, whereby dokohs with two pieces were worn by the wealthy and variants with three pieces were worn by royalty. Today, the accessory has become a widely worn ornaments especially when celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri to embellish traditional Raya outfits.

8. Shell Malaysia

Shell Malaysia, together with GrowthOps Asia, have designed a Raya packet with a vibrant, bright illustration which captures the warmth of Raya. In line with Shell's “Kembara Lebih Jauh” (‘Journey further’) Raya campaign, the packets features Roger Hensem, a character from the oil and gas company's brand films. 

“This year, we've worked with Shell Malaysia to bring the festive spirit to life with a vibrant illustration that captures the warmth and joy of Raya. Featuring Roger Hensem on one of his signature adventures through a bustling Malaysian town, the illustration blends tradition with a touch of fun— perfect for sharing blessings in style,” said Chris Greenough, regional head of creative services at GrowthOps Asia.

9. Tealive Asia

Tealive has jumped on to the mofusand craze with an exclusive tie-up with the popular Japanese illustrated cat character, created by artist Juno. Besides featuring mofusand on its cups, food packaging and limited-edition "Tealive loves mofusand" stickers, the tea chain has also released a Raya packet featuring the beloved cat character. 

The "Pawket surprise" Raya packets in Tealive's signature purple colour, and mofusand stickers, were made available to customers with the purchase of two drinks, one of which has to be from the "Tealive loves mofusand" series. 

10. VITAGEN



Probiotic drink brand VITAGEN teamed up with local artist Eurekart Studio for its Raya packets this year, as part of its commitment to supporting local talent. It told A+M that after a successful partnership with Minifanfan for its Chinese New Year packets, it saw another opportunity to work with a local artist this Raya. 

The Vitagen x Eurekart packets feature the artist's signature and unique floral motifs, representing the joyous occasion of Raya and the symbol of new beginnings and growth. The design also creatively integrated VITAGEN's iconic bottle silhouette into the artwork. 

The Raya-themed packets featuring Eurekart Studio's design was made available through the purchase of two packs of VITAGEN at participating outlets. 

11. ZALORA

Zalora has released a set of two Raya packets designs this year, one in bright mustard and another in powder blue. Both designs feature traditional Malay motifs and floral patterns. The packets were released as a part of its "ZALORAYA 2025" campaign that merges tradition, creativity and omnichannel innovation. 

The campaign aimed to connect and resonate with the platform's modest wear customer-base around the region with a multitude of fresh ideas.

Bonus: Touch n' Go 


Although this isn't a Raya packet, Touch n' Go's Raya card design deserves a mention. Featuring a beautifully illustrated design by Bingka KL, the card highlights different elements of a traditional Hari Raya spread, such as festive "kuih" ('cakes') and cookies, as well as "rendang" ('meat stew') and "ketupat" ('rice cakes').

In conversation with A+M, Touch n' Go said that the design concept of the card focuses on nostalgia, classic traditions, and cultural heritage. This aims to remind and inspire customers about the importance of preserving these unique festive customs.
