Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) is boosting its regional public affairs capabilities and technology communications capabilities with the promotion of Anna O'Sullivan and Mark Lensyzyn respectively. O'Sullivan is now managing partner, strategic communications and public affairs, leading all strategic communications and public affairs opportunities across Asia. Lensyzyn is now Asia technology practice lead and LG-One network director who will be responsible for elevating the growth of the sector across Asia.
At the same time, H+K has elevated Amelia Tipping as MD of its Australia operation, effective 1 October. Based in Sydney, and reporting to HS Chung, president, H+K Asia, Tipping will join H+K Asia’s senior leadership team with a focus on driving local expertise and cross-market collaboration to deliver broader capabilities for clients and accelerate business growth across the region. She replaces Mandy Galmes who is leaving the agency after three years as CEO to pursue a new opportunity.
Tipping brings more than 18 years of integrated agency leadership and campaign experience to the role of MD and will continue to shape the agency’s purpose-led communications offering and deliver PR and content publishing strategies alongside a local and regional team of consumer, technology, public affairs, and corporate reputation specialists. Alongside Tipping’s appointment was also the promotion of Marcha Van Den Heuvel to business director who will take on the increased responsibility of managing H+K Australia’s business development function alongside the Australia leadership team.
Tipping said she is incredibly fortunate to have worked with some of the best in the business throughout her career. "Most recently, working with Galmes, and as part of both the H+K and WPP AUNZ network, I have been able to help reshape the agencies’ offerings. We have found our sweet spot, partnering with clients who require both senior, strategic counsel and creative content solutions. I am really excited for the opportunity to lead the business and our continued transformation," she added.
Chung also thanked Galmes for her contribution to H+K both locally and globally, adding that she has been the driving force behind the transformation and growth of H+K Australia over the past three years.
“I am also thrilled to see our colleagues grow to take on leading roles at H+K. Having worked directly with O'Sullivan, Lensyzyn, Tipping, and Van Den Heuvel, I am confident their commitment, drive and skills will add immense value to our clients in their evolving requirements, accelerate the growth of our people and our business both locally and across the region,” said Chung. H+K is actively hiring for new roles in Australia, including senior account manager, account manager, and account coordinator, as well as specialists in the areas of content, copywriting, social and digital.
