Jasmine Lee, former CDO at U Mobile, has joined TM as EVP, mobile and CEO of Webe Digital. She reports to group CEO Imri Mokhtar. Lee (pictured) was previously with U Mobile for close to 10 years, last helming the role of CDO. She joined in 2013 as CMO before taking on the role of CDO in November 2022. A+M has reached out to TM for comment.
At U Mobile, Lee led her team to win awards at A+M's Marketing Excellence Awards and MARKies Malaysia in 2019. She was also responsible for helping the telco roll out a new website, creating the opportunity for U Mobile to offer a more robust eCommerce experience.
U Mobile CEO Wong Heang Tuck previously said that Lee's insights and strategic inputs during her time as CMO were crucial for the evolution of the brand's influence and product portfolio. He also credited Lee for conceptualising game-changing initiatives such as the introduction of culture-defining branding for products and price plans such as VideoOnz, WeChatGo, Data Backpack, RoamOnz, GILER Unlimited and Unlimited HERO. Lee also worked at AirAsia as group commercial director.
Separately, TM recently called for creative and media pitches. The creative tender closes on 20 October while the media tender closes on 6 October. Its agency appointments have traditionally been three years.
