Imun Lim is joining Dutch Lady Milk Industries as marketing director reporting to managing director Ramjeet Kaur Virik, effective 1 July. Lim (pictured) succeeds Zatur Hassim and the current marketing leadership team will be reporting to her. Overseeing the entire marketing function in Malaysia and as part of the Dutch Lady Milk Industries management team, Lim will play a key role in driving the company's purpose of "Nourishing our planet and people in every stage of life". Lim was most recently commercial director at The Arnott's Group, joining in 2020 as marketing director.
She has more than 20 years of experience mainly in the F&B industry, focused on both, brand and product marketing with commercial experience having worked with companies such as P&G, Coca-Cola, Fonterra, Samsung, and Munchworld Marketing. She is also no stranger to the DLMI family, having previously worked for FrieslandCampina business development unit as international marketing manager.
Zatur was promoted to marketing director last year to lead both the specialised nutrition and consumer dairy portfolio. Dutch Lady's spokesperson previously told A+M that her combined country-focused role will allow the company to centrally synergise its overall country commercial strategy, which in turn, will improve its ability to drive market execution and a holistic corporate agenda.
Meanwhile, Zatur recently said in a LinkedIn post that it has been "an amazing journey" throughout her time with FrieslandCampina and thanked her managers, colleagues, and friends for the growth opportunity, guidance, trust, and friendship. She spent a total of eight and a half years with the company. A+M has reached out to Arnott's Group for information about Lim's replacement.
Separately, on the media strategy front, Dutch Lady recently appointed PHD as its media agency in Malaysia last October following a pitch. PHD officially started managing integrated media duties on 1 January this year, which entails planning and buying, for the group, including Dutch Lady and Friso. Mindshare was the incumbent. Omnicom Media Group Malaysia's chief operating officer, Eileen Ooi, previously said the appointment is a testament to PHD’s challenger approach, combining strong marketing fundamentals, transformative digital approaches, and the agency’s focus on creativity and collaboration to deliver meaningful communications for the client.
