Dutch Lady Milk Industries has promoted Zatur Hassim to lead both the specialised nutrition and consumer dairy portfolio as marketing director in Malaysia. The role of consumer dairy marketing director was previously helmed by current MD Ramjeet Kaur Virik while Zatur was the specialised nutrition marketing director. Zatur (pictured) reports to Virik in the newly combined role.
"Zatur's combined country-focused role will allow the company to centrally synergise its overall country commercial strategy, which in turn, will improve its ability to drive market execution and a holistic corporate agenda," said Dutch Lady's spokesperson to A+M.
Zatur was previously with Dutch Lady's parent firm FrieslandCampina, last helming the role of specialised nutrition director, according to her LinkedIn. She first joined in October 2013 and helmed the international medical marketing manager role for a year before taking on a marketing manager role based in Nigeria. In her first role, Zatur was responsible for building the medical marketing global strategy for the company, her LinkedIn said. She was also required to support medical marketing initiatives for Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, IndoChina, KSA, and Nigeria.
Before FrieslandCampina, Zatur helmed the role of brand manager at Kimberly-Clark for more than four years and regional brand manager for a year, said her LinkedIn. In her regional brand manager role, Zatur was responsible for building and growing the Kimberly Clark adult care category in the ASEAN market. Zatur was also a brand manager for Wyeth Pharmaceutical for close to two years.
Meanwhile, Dutch Lady recently appointed PHD as its media agency in Malaysia following a pitch. Beginning 1 January 2022, the agency will take on integrated media duties, which entail planning and buying, for the group, including Dutch Lady and Friso. Mindshare is the incumbent. Omnicom Media Group Malaysia's chief operating officer, Eileen Ooi, said the appointment is a testament to PHD’s challenger approach, combining strong marketing fundamentals, transformative digital approaches, and the agency’s focus on creativity and collaboration to deliver meaningful communications for the client.
Separately in August this year, FrieslandCampina appointed Nathalie Brochand as its new global digital and marketing director for its Specialised Nutrition business group. Brochand is responsible for the integrated global marketing and digital team at FrieslandCampina Specialised Nutrition. She is currently based in France and reports to Berndt Kodden, president of FrieslandCampina Specialised Nutrition. Brochand takes over Arthur Law, who left the company after six years.
