Dentsu Indonesia has appointed Anwesh Bose (pictured) as its new chief growth officer, succeeding Laode Hartanto who will take on the role of chief growth officer for media, effective immediately. Bose will report to dentsu Indonesia’s CEO Elvira Jakub while Hartanto will report to Aloysia Dian, media CEO of dentsu Indonesia.

In his new role, Bose will spearhead growth initiatives and foster collaboration across units to identify market opportunities that will propel dentsu Indonesia and its clients to achieve the next phase of growth, according to a statement by the agency.

Bose is no stranger to dentsu having joined dentsu India as a media group head in 2005 before working his way up to the chief growth officer for media in 2010, according to his LinkedIn page. Prior to rejoining dentsu, Bose was the president director at The Academy Consulting.

“It is an honour for me to return to dentsu, where we are committed to driving growth and innovation for marketers in Indonesia,” he said.

“I’m in awe of the talents and capabilities across creative, media and CXM that dentsu has, as well as the impressive achievements that dentsu team have brought. I eagerly anticipate unlocking new possibilities with our expertise in data, commerce, content, and influencer marketing,” added Bose.

Bose also brings with him a wealth of experience as an advertising veteran with a background that includes serving as president director at Havas Group Indonesia, senior vice president at DDB India and has held leadership positions at ad-tech companies, such as Supermom Business and Whisper Media.

“We have made steady progress thus far, and by strategically appointing a senior leader with extensive experience such as Bose, we are charting our path forward to continue helping marketers unlock new opportunities and navigate the evolving marketing landscape,” said Elvira Jakub, CEO of dentsu Indonesia.

“Bose will also be instrumental in leading dentsu Indonesia’s growth through transformation and integration of our emerging service lines. I'm brimming with excitement and optimism for the incredible phase that lies ahead,” she also added.

As dentsu Indonesia beefs up its leadership team, it recently appointed marketing transformation veteran Elvira Jakub as CEO of dentsu Indonesia as it continues its growth amidst the transformation of Indonesia’s digital economy. In her new role, Jakub will report to Sanjay Bhasin, CEO, Southeast Asia, dentsu.

The role was previously held by Prakash Kamdar who held a dual-CEO role for Singapore and Indonesia from 2022. In his current role as CEO, clients and solutions, SEA, along with the role CEO of dentsu Singapore, Kamdar will further focus on accelerating dentsu’s client portfolio across its Southeast Asia cluster.
