Integrated data intelligence holding company Dataxet has acquired InfoQuest, Thailand’s largest provider of media monitoring services. InfoQuest joins Dataxet’s network of media intelligence companies which include Sonar Platform in Indonesia, NAMA in Malaysia and Truescope in Singapore. NAMA and Sonar Platform were acquired by Dataxet last year.

InfoQuest offers a range of media intelligence services from media monitoring of newspapers, magazines, websites, and social media to an online, real-time news aggregator from more than 100 sources. It is also an online economic and financial news agency in Thailand, reporting on topics such as stock market, finance, investments, and world news.

Meanwhile, Dataxet was launched in 2020 with the vision to create the first Asia-based commstech group. In its first 18 months of operation, the company claims to have become a category leader and fastest-growing media intelligence network in the region, providing services for over 300 blue-chip enterprise and public sector clients.

While Dataxet declined to comment on the monetary value of the acquisition, managing partner and CEO of Truescope Singapore, Jason Lee, told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that there will be no senior leadership changes.

"Dataxet since inception 18 months ago have built solid momentum in terms of building the business and market share. With the acquisition of InfoQuest, the key focus is to continue that business momentum in all the markets that we are in. We have also set aside resources to make a big push on the technology in terms of product innovation and integration," he added.

David Liu, founder and CEO of Dataxet, said InfoQuest is a great addition to its family of companies and furthers its position as a leading media intelligence service provider. "The calibre of companies and clients joining our network demonstrates how our disruptive model is adding new value to marketing and communications professionals," Liu said.

Meanwhile, founder and chairman of InfoQuest, Jalthong Patamapongs, said it is excited to be joining the Dataxet Group and the considerable prospects for future growth. With its technology and people, Patamapongs said Dataxet has proven its ability to fully integrate media intelligence data into actionable insights and help clients in Asia to better communicate to their customers and audiences. "Given our dominant position in Thailand, we are well placed to expand our offering and deliver new revenue streams," Patamapongs added.

At the same time, Dataxet will also announce its planned expansion into Vietnam early next year. According to the company, this will further solidify its position in Southeast Asia's commstech industry.
