Household appliances company Cuckoo Malaysia is in the midst of a social media pitch for the Malaysian market. Cuckoo's spokesperson confirmed the pitch to A+M, adding that the agency will be responsible for enhancing the brand's presence across its social media channels.

While there is no definite appointment period as it is subject to the proposal, Cuckoo's spokesperson told A+M that five agencies have been shortlisted. The pitch is expected to conclude in August and only one agency will be appointed.

Separately, the household appliances company named South Korean actor Lee Minho as its new brand ambassador for the year in April. He joins Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza, who was first appointed two years ago, in being featured across Cuckoo's campaigns.

Cuckoo's spokesperson previously said that 2021 was a very successful year for the brand and Lee ""perfectly embodies" Cuckoo's philosophy of going "Beyond Standards". Likewise, Siti Nurhaliza also embodied the same philosophy and both individuals displayed "a constant quest for excellence in everything they do – as an entertainer, performer, entrepreneur, role model, and philanthropist", the spokesperson said.

Cuckoo's marketing theme for the year is #SAMASAMAHealthier™ and it will continue introducing innovative products and services, such as its flagship water purifier, the CUCKOO TITAN Tankless Mild Alkaline Water Purifier.
