Chek Hup Coffee leaps into esports scene with EVOS Esports sponsorship

Chek Hup Coffee has come on board as a sponsor for the EVOS Esports based in Malaysia. The sponsorship comprises coffee supplies and cross-marketing activations, including brand ambassadorship of EVOS Esports’ talents. The esports team will be producing exclusive videos highlighting Chek Hup Coffee’s products. The sponsorship also involves brand integration on EVOS Esports jersey, online community engagement events with the team's fans and interactive social media campaigns
Joseph Tan, MD of Chek Hup Holdings, said the company is new to esports and it is excited to work together with EVOS Esports to introduce Millennials and Gen Zs to its offerings. "We will also be featuring EVOS Esports’ talents as brand ambassadors in our latest marketing campaign. Chek Hup is always open to innovation and we believe esports and gaming will help us connect better with our next generation of consumers," Tan added.
Meanwhile, Ivan Yeo, co-founder and CEO of EVOS Esports, said having an established coffee brand such as Chek Hup supporting the esports industry further cements Chek Hup as an innovative brand, that understands the power and influence of the esports and gaming culture. In addition to Malaysia, the team has also been making waves in Indonesia, having tied up with Visa in August this year, as well as Lazada in April. Under the partnership, Visa will be used as the preferred payment solution when fans apply for EVOS Esports' membership. The esports organisation will also enable payments via Visa for in-game currency purchases and its merchandise. Meanwhile, the year-long partnership with Lazada aims to support the growth of esports in Indonesia and boost the development of mobile gaming and esports among Millennials and Generation Z digital natives in Indonesia.
