C27 collaborates with Experiential Design Team to add more immersive capabilities

C27 has partnered with Experiential Design Team (EDT), an interactive entertainment company that focuses on creations of virtual characters and spaces for brands to integrate into the meta-world. In a statement made by C27, the digital enablement agency sees this as a “bold but expected step” in revolutionising marketing and branding in Malaysia.

EDT’s main set of focuses include metaverses, which create virtual worlds to drive digital engagement and play games based on existing block-chain interactions or new platforms. C27 is able to leverage on integrating interactive content within both metaverse and physical spaces, to drive its mission of meaningful digital transformation.

In music festivals such as Good Vibes Festival and Supalapa Festival, where C27 was a social media partner, EDT created content to highlight these events using new digital and marketing capabilities.

“It’s been a decade, and while C27 has excelled in creating screen-based experiences, we recognise the value of integrating the physical world. EDT brings the expertise to bridge that gap," said C27 CEO Fazil Fuad.

This comes in view of the rising metaverse entertainment circles, where augmented and virtual reality has been immersed to create virtual concerts, theme parks and movie experiences. C27 adds however that beyond music festivals, a collaboration with EDT materialises in on-ground activations and spaces where other brands can tell their stories holistically.

“As leaders in the digital space, our focus has always been on improving the way people engage with brands, and this collaboration is simply a testament to that.”

Across the market, various other metaverse collaborations are sprawling too. The Sandbox, a decentralised gaming virtual world and subsidiary of Animoca Brands, has recently partnered up with Hanjin Tan, an Asian singer-songwriter and Hong Kong Film Awards winner, to launch a new metaverse avatar collection called Hamsterz Doodles. This effort underlines The Sandbox's commitment to merging cultures and creativity, offering a dynamic platform that enables artists such as Tan to engage with a global audience.
