ZALORA has promoted its head of Hong Kong Michael Ho (pictured) to associate director, marketing and partnerships for Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The role is newly created as part of the company's ambition to further expand its business in Taiwan by leveraging its regional operation and fulfilment capability.
Within his new role, Ho will report to Achint Setia, chief marketing and revenue officer of ZALORA Group. Ho will be responsible for overseeing marketing and commercial partnerships for Hong Kong and Taiwan for ZALORA Group.
Ho has been working at ZALORA Group for more than seven years. Prior to his new role, Ho was head of Hong Kong of ZALORA. He was tasked with overseeing marketing duties for the Hong Kong and Macau regions for the group. Ho played a leading role in acquiring various international brands in recent years and managed ZALORA’s signature mega days campaigns such as 11.11, Black-Friday-Cyber-Monday and 12.12 for the local market.

“I am very excited about this opportunity at this point of my career, new challenges always motivate me. Hong Kong and Taiwan share a lot of similarities culturally and in fashion. No doubt we can replicate the successful story of Hong Kong in Taiwan moving forward. I am also grateful for the trust that the entire ZALORA senior management team has put in me,” Ho said.
Back in April, ZALORA expanded its offering in Taiwan with a fresh new look, offering over 2,000 brands across fashion, kids, beauty, sports and lifestyle, such as Adidas, Mango, Tommy Hilfiger, Hollister and Under Armour.
Setia said the company is thrilled to bring its curated collection of the top global brands, latest fashion trends and best-in-class fashion buying service to Taiwan.
"With our experience in making aspirational fashion accessible and affordable to millions of South East Asians over the last decade, ZALORA is designed to deliver a seamless shopping experience, with a wide range of styles to suit every taste. Taiwanese consumers are early adopters of new fashion trends and technology, making them a valuable demographic for ZALORA. We look forward to connecting with customers in this growing and dynamic market,” Setia added.
