Singaporean beverage brand Yeo's has launched three new packaging designs featuring the fortune cat, a vibrant symbol of prosperity and luck, to usher in the 2025 Lunar New Year.

In addition, Yeo's unveiled two 3D fortune cat installations to bring the festive spirit to life. Made entirely from recycled Yeo’s plastic bottles, the immersive installations serve as both a festive centerpiece and a symbol of sustainability.

The 1.2-metre-tall Fortune Cat installations, each made from 1,700 Yeo’s recycled plastic bottles, are now on display at FairPrice Hougang Mall and FairPrice Xtra @ Jurong Point and will remain until 9 February 2025.

In a statement, Yeo's noted that the Hougang installation will officially be recognised by the Singapore Book of Records as the “largest 3D printed model (fortune cat) made from recycled plastic bottles”, setting a new benchmark for eco-conscious innovation in the retail and beverage industries.

The official award ceremony, where Yeo's will be presented the title, will be held on 21 January 2025 at FairPrice Hougang Mall.

“We are delighted to celebrate this Lunar New Year with the Yeo’s fortune cat, a symbol of good fortune and prosperity," said Alex Chen, head of marketing and business development, Yeo's Singapore.

“This record-breaking installation at FairPrice Hougang reflects our ongoing commitment to blending tradition with sustainability by creatively repurposing recycled Yeo’s plastic bottles," he added.

The three limited-edition fortune cat festive packs are now available for sale at leading retail outlets, including NTUC FairPrice, while stocks last.

Yeo's is no stranger to quirky product designs and packaging. In August last year, the beverage brand went rogue by stripping away its existing labelling on its First Harvest Green Tea packaging and redressing it in with a neon green shade and low-resolution text popularised by pop star Charli XCX’s release of her 6th album BRAT.

Meanwhile, for lunar new year last year, it released three limited-edition designs for three of Yeo's drinks: chrysanthemum tea, winter melon and lychee. The new packaging featured a dragon, phoenix and lion, along with traditional good fortune greetings.
