Well Link Insurance names Thomas Lee as new CEO

Well Link Insurance Group has appointed Thomas Lee as chief executive officer of Well Link Insurance and deputy chief executive officer of Well Link Insurance Group, effective 15 September, while continuing to serve as the chief executive officer of Well Link Life.  

Lee is responsible for leading the business development of life insurance and general insurance. The appointment has been approved by the regulatory authority.  

As a senior executive in the Hong Kong insurance industry, Lee was appointed the chief executive officer of Well Link Life Insurance in April 2019.  Prior to joining Well Link Life, he was an actuary by profession and worked at AIA International for over 19 years, holding various senior management roles in several departments.

Lee is actively participating in insurance industry affairs, according to the release. In the past, he served as the chairman of the Hong KongFederation of Insurers (“HKFI”) and the chairman of Life Insurance Council of HKFI. 

Lee said: “Well Link Insurance Group has a visionary business strategy. I am very grateful to the Group for this new appointment, which gives me the opportunity to lead our team at Well Link Insurance to the next level. Well Link Insurance Group is committed to providing high-quality insurance products to the people of Hong Kong.”
