Wavemaker APAC CEO Gordon Domlija leaves firm

Wavemaker’s APAC chief executive officer Gordon Domlija (pictured) has left the agency after five years.
According to his LinkedIn, Domlija led the launch of Wavemaker in China and North Asia in 2017, merging MEC and Maxus into one formidable company. In 2018 he took the role of CEO Wavemaker APAC.
Prior to Wavemaker, he was at MEC as China CEO, doubling revenue within two years through digital capability building and a new business drive, he described. He had also been chief strategy officer at Mediacom China for two years.
Having moved to China in 2008, his first role was at Mindshare as managing director, where he was responsible for accelerating business performance, content planning and strategic capability through leadership of our assignments with clients such as Unilever, Nike, Land Rover and L'Oréal.

Back in August last year, Wavemaker appointed Jenny Pham as head of media, Asia Pacific for Colgate-Palmolive. Based in Singapore, Pham will be responsible for leading the Colgate-Palmolive business in the region, where she will report to Rose Huskey, chief client officer of Wavemaker APAC.
Prior to joining Wavemaker, Pham was the general manager of marketing and strategy at GTI Tourism where she led a marketing team in the travel industry partnering with leading destinations and marketers at Vanuatu Tourism Office, Japan National Tourism Organisation and domestic tourism bodies. She also worked in various senior roles in GroupM agencies in Australia including Essence as VP client partner, MEC (pre-merger) as managing partner and Mindshare as business director.
