VMLY&R's Asia creative chief Valerie Madon to join Meta

Valerie Madon, VMLY&R's chief creative officer, Asia, is joining Meta as director of creative shop for Southeast Asia, MARKETING-INTERACTIVE understands. VMLY&R has also published a LinkedIn job post for the regional chief creative officer Asia role. Madon could not be contacted at the time of writing. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Meta for comment.

Madon joined the agency in 2019 from Havas Group Singapore where she was chief creative officer, Southeast Asia, and chairwoman. Madon is responsible for supporting the agency's go-to-market strategy to provide its clients with the most relevant and contemporary agency offering in the market today, focused on six key pillars which are commerce, advisory, experience & technology, data & insights as well as brand stewardship, content & media innovation.

She spent more than two decades developing creative and digital solutions for brands such as P&G, GSK, HP, Singapore Airlines, HSBC, Burger King, Shell, Visa and Changi Airport. She was also with Facebook as head of creative shop, Southeast Asia from 2016 to 2017.

Meanwhile, VMLY&R's LinkedIn job post said the regional chief creative officer, Asia will be responsible for the overall creative direction across the entire Asian region. He/She will provide both creative leadership and strategic guidance on creative to major clients in the region. Reporting to the regional CEO and global chief creative officer, this role will spearhead strategic creative development initiatives in countries across the region. He/She will work with the global chief creative officer and the other RCCO’s around the world to maintain and elevate the overall creative reputation of VMLY&R.

Separately. VMLY&R also saw some leadership changes in Singapore and Asia within the past year. Preethi Sanjeevi has moved on as Singapore CEO after 16 years with the network and Yi Chung Tay was named CEO earlier this year while Tripti Lochan took on the newly created role of global capability development officer.
