Uniqlo Singapore shines light on local culture as part of global campaign

Following the recent launch of its Uniqlo Orchard Central global flagship store for Southeast Asia and Singapore, Uniqlo Singapore has released another video in its “Your Stage Now Live” campaign.“Your Stage Now Live” is the opening campaign of Uniqlo Orchard Central, which turns the hoarding around the store’s construction site into an urban canvas designed collectively by the local community.The campaign invites members of the public to express themselves and showcase their culture to the world through a special “Your Stage Now Live” site.Ahead of the campaign, Uniqlo’s parent company Fast Retailing’s global creative director John Jay, sat down with Marketing to speak about what creativity means to him.The most recent video features 80-year old rocker Mary Ho, who started playing the guitar 20 years ago. She talks about her love for music which runs in the family and how it allows her to bond with her grandchildren. The video concludes with Ho sharing her personal clothing style and what she looks for in selecting clothing.Since its launch yesterday morning, the video has already garnered 69,392 views, 557 reactions and 185 shares at the time of writing.Other episodes of the campaign include those of a potter, woodworker and a beat boxer to name a few.
