Apparel retailer UNIQLO has partnered the Singapore Paralympics Team as its official clothing partner for Team Singapore para athletes representing Singapore at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. UNIQLO will also provide LifeWear apparel to Singapore's delegations and officials, which includes apparel to be worn for the opening and closing ceremonies, athlete village, and travel during the Games.
The curated selection of LifeWear apparel emphasises function and comfort, while featuring modern and sophisticated looks that represent Singapore and blend seamlessly with the cityscape of Paris, it said in a statement.

“I definitely want to be free of sweat, and with this material, I think it will help with our comfort levels," said Sophie Soon, who is representing Singapore for Para Swimming.
"I see myself wearing more items from the DRY-EX collection, and I wouldn't mind wearing this shirt in other colours because it's something that's so comfortable to wear every day," Soon added.
Adding on to Soon's statement, Toh Wei Soong, who is also representing Singapore for Para Swimming added that he is really proud to be wearing this jacket by UNIQLO for the games.
“I love its lightness and airiness, which will be great for summer in Paris. Its colour scheme is really stylish, and I think it’ll get Singapore some attention,” said Toh.
Additionally, a special in-store display will be available at the Orchard Central global flagship store from now until September 10, 2024 to honour and celebrate Team Singapore's para athletes.
The full collection of LifeWear apparel comprising of ceremony, travel and village wear will be on display. Sports enthusiasts can also learn more about the profiles of each athlete, fun facts about the para sports and enjoy the official theme song, March On, produced specially for the Singapore Paralympics Team participating in the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games.
Following the Paralympic in-store display, UNIQLO will be refreshing the space to present a special photo exhibition featuring behind-the-scenes moments of Singapore's para athletes in their pursuit of excellence.
The ‘As Essentials’ photo exhibition is organised in partnership with ART:DIS (Arts & Disability) Singapore, a non-profit organisation championing the learning and livelihood opportunities for persons with disabilities (PwDs) in and through the arts.
Behind the lens is ART:DIS photographer, Isabelle Lim, whose work is characterised by a distinct narrative of resilience and perspective. Her works transcend the silence of her world; each photograph is a testament to her belief that identity is conveyed through creativity and connection, rather than limitations, UNIQLO said.
Many brands have been hopping onto the Olympics bandwagon as the games commence. Recently, Samsonite Singapore partnered the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) as the official luggage sponsor for Team Singapore athletes heading to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The inaugural collaboration marks a significant milestone for both organisations in their shared commitment to promoting and supporting local sports and athletes.
Through this partnership, Samsonite Singapore will equip all Team Singapore athletes with the EVOA Z Ivory Gold collection. This collection, exclusively designed for the team journeying to the Paris 2024 Olympics, features an aluminium logo bar with both the Samsonite and the Singapore National Olympic Council logos.
