Chiradeep Gupta (pictured), vice president, personal care head of media and digital and global integrated media strategy lead of Unilever is stepping down after 13 years with the company.
In a LinkedIn post, Gupta said that he is closing the chapter with immense gratitude for the learning and growth, as well as the "opportunity to work with some of the most amazing people."
"You are only as good as your team, and I had the privilege of always having amazing individuals around who taught me so much. We had our wins, losses, good times, not-so-good times but we always had fun," said Gupta.

Gupta then expressed his appreciation for his bosses, mentors and sponsors who provided him with constant counsel and advice as he navigated his career. He also highlighted that his team's achievements would not be possible without its agency, platform and media partners.
"Everyone went out of their way so that they could make an impact and leave a mark - forever bringing energy, passion and a willingness to find a way to do the most innovative work that continues to leave a strong legacy. I am grateful to the amazing people I interacted with across these organisations," he added.
MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out for a statement.
Gupta first joined Unilever in 2011 as its global media innovation manager before rising through the ranks as a global media director, global media strategy director and vice president of media. He was elevated to the role of vice president, personal care head of media and digital and global integrated media strategy lead in 2022.
Prior to his time at Unilever, Gupta had a decade-long stint at Starcom MediaVest Group across its India, Malaysia and Singapore offices. He first joined Starcom MediaVest Group India in 2001 as a management trainee, before joining its Malaysia office as a communications manager in 2004. Gupta left the company in 2009 after helming the role of regional director of ASEAN.
Meanwhile, earlier this year Unilever appointed Dennis Perez as its head of marketing for the Philippines, as well as marketing transformation lead for Greater Asia in the beauty and wellbeing segment.
In this role, Perez will drive demand creation in the Philippines and the broader Southeast Asia region, as well as Japan and Korea. His responsibilities include content, brand experience, social influence, community building, media, and commerce, he told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE at the time.
Additionally, Perez will spearhead Unilever's progressive approach to beauty marketing, overseeing beauty technology, AI, data, and advanced digital enablers to create more engaging and personalised experiences for its hair care and skin care brands.
