Travel, lifestyle, and accessories brand TUMI has expanded its retail footprint with the addition of new stores at key international airports across the Asia-Pacific region.

The brand's unveiled its latest store offerings on 1 May, in South Korea's Incheon International Airport (pictured left), and Thailand's Suvarnabhumi Airport (pictured right).

The new store openings in South Korea and Thailand are the first of the brand's expansion across APAC, with launches at Indonesia's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Terminal 3), and India's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport scheduled in the coming months.

With an expanded and refreshed presence, the new stores represent the brand's commitment to creating sleek, sophisticated and inviting spaces that deliver exceptional customer experience, it said in a statement.

Incheon International Airport is one of the most important and high-traffic travel retail locations in APAC, it added. TUMI's newest store boasts a 50 square metre retail space. It also has a first-of-its-kind, large-scale architectural facade that incorporates the brand's T-icon pattern with raised 3D aluminum panels and enhanced by a logo-inspired lighting effect.

Standing at nearly 19-feet, the facade was designed by design firm CJ2 and local South Korean studio Design POOM.

Located at another airport attracting high international footfall, the new TUMI store at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok takes on an elegantly illuminated facade, featuring its trademark T-icon pattern.

Both locations boast sleek and sophisticated interiors that bring to life the brand's iconic design language, providing a comfortable and easy-to-navigate environment to browse the brand's various product offerings.

“The latest openings at Incheon International Airport and Suvarnabhumi Airport are a testament to TUMI’s ongoing commitment to creating unique and exceptional experiences for our international customers through our high-performance products and stores," said Aris Maroulis, vice president, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, TUMI.

TUMI's Asia-Pacific offerings will extend to Jakarta and Mumbai, in late May and mid-June respectively.

Both stores will follow a similarly sleek and sophisticated refresh that invites travellers from all around the world to engage with TUMI's products.

"Soekarno–Hatto International Airport in Jakarta and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai are among the busiest in the region. With these launches, travel retail will continue to be a key focus through thoughtfully planned and skillfully executed designs that bring customers into our world and speak to the way they travel today," added Maroulis.

The new store offerings mark a significant boost for the TUMI brand across APAC, which has been expanding its regional presence over the past year.

Earlier this year, the brand picked South Korean actress Mun Ka Young as its new ambassador, who was the face of the brand's Asra collection, aimed at the modern, travelling woman. It has also tapped fellow South Korean football star Son Heung-Min in previous campaigns.

The brand also launched a 3D-activation across various Asia-Pacific and Middle East markets last year to ignite the TUMI brand in both regions.
