In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the Park Lane Hong Kong, a Pullman Hotel, has curated a digital guide featuring 50 experiences for guests to discover in and around the hotel’s neighbourhood.

The hotel, situated in Causeway Bay, takes pride of its convenient location surrounded by various eateries, bars, art spaces, murals, specialty shops, landmarks, salons, and fitness studios, all within a short walking distance from the hotel’s lobby.

Also known as “50 Wonder Trails”, the interactive digital guidebook was launched on 20 June. It features hidden gems and unique cultural perspectives in Causeway Bay and Tin Hau, aiming to offer guests a new way to discover Hong Kong and immerse themselves in the area's history and local culture.

In a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Luc Bollen, general manager at The Park Lane Hong Kong, A Pullman Hotel, said the digital guidebook not only showcases the vibrant Causeway Bay neighborhood, but also honours the hotel’s history of witnessing the neighborhood’s evolution over the past century.

"We have flourished alongside this vibrant district, and our aim is to uncover the hidden gems and provide authentic local experiences through this campaign, giving both local residents and international travelers the opportunity to revisit or to discover the unique charms of the area," he said.

The Park Lane has collaborated with local artist Carmen Ng to incorporate various illustrations into the digital guidebook, as part of its mission to uplift and empower the city’s homegrown talent. Ng’s lush watercolours and ink paintings render her complex, city-inspired dreams in vivid and fanciful detail, according to the release.

Done in collaboration with creative agency DDB Hong Kong and Golin Hong Kong for PR and social media, the guidebook features topics such as art, wellness, dining, landmarks, local hidden gems, photo spots, and unforgettable experiences. Each entry provides a brief description, as well as detailed information such as directions, estimated walking times, and a more in-depth overview of the featured location or activity.

For example, the guidebook features a local book shop "Nose in the Books" for those seeking out local hidden gems; and one Michelin Star restaurant Ho Hung Kee for food enthusiasts.

"My vision is for our hotel to symbolize the essence of Causeway Bay, a community we have faithfully served for five decades. Looking ahead, our goal is to craft countless unforgettable experiences for our guests, both local and international, over the next half-century. We are dedicated to continuously surprising and enchanting our guests with innovative offerings and elevated experiences, while strengthening our brand and establishing a prominent presence in the hospitality arena," Bollen added.
