Temus, a digital transformation services firm headquartered in Singapore, has acquired digital services provider Decision Science Agency (DS) and expanded into Hong Kong, as part of its commitment to talent development and capability building in tandem with Singapore’s growing digital economy.
Focused on agile application development, DS is a digital services provider in Singapore with over 70 employees in Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia. In fact, DS is the second acquisition for Temus since it was established in 2021. Last year, Temus acquired Dreamcloud, s Singapore-based boutique system integration (SI) and consultancy firm.
As part of the acquisition, Temus has appointed Collin Ang, founder of DS, as its new managing director. Ang has held the role of managing director at DS since 2012. He specialised in multi-channel and cross-channel customer experience, corporate strategy, innovation, operations and analytics, according to his LinkedIn.
Meanwhile, Temus has also set up its first office in Hong Kong. According to the firm, the strategic acquisitions of DS and Dreamcloud, as well as the expansion internationally through Hong Kong, are in line with its mission to build local capabilities to drive transformation in the public and private sectors. Currently, it has more than 400 digital talent, most of whom reside in Singapore.

KC Yeoh, chief executive officer, Temus, said: “Temus was established with a clear vision to enable and deliver digital transformation for the public and private sectors. We look forward to creating even greater value with Decision Science Agency as we expand our footprint beyond Singapore into Asia-Pacific through Hong Kong.”
Srijay Ghosh, founding member and CRO, Temus, said: “DS and Ang’s deep knowledge and experience in agile app development will greatly enhance our ability to deliver high-value applications for government and commercial sectors, in tandem with the growing needs of our region’s digital economy. Both our firms are driven by a connected purpose towards building a differentiated digital transformation platform, and investing in local talent to develop a strong Singapore core. By doubling down on our technology modernisation capabilities, we can catalyse our expansion into multi-platform offerings over the next few years to grow and transform with our clients and partners.”
Aligned with the Forward Singapore agenda of keeping growth inclusive, Temus aspires to empower more people with not just the fruit from growth but also the tools for growth by giving individuals a stake in building its digital future through Step IT Up, said Marcus Loh, director, Temus.
"We thank our partners in the Ministry of Communications & Information, IMDA, and our inaugural partnering organisation GovTech Singapore for giving this program a chance to prove that we do have a ‘hire, place and train’ model that is viable for firms to tap on in filling their tech talent gap, for non-IT trained individuals to transform into coders and developers, and for our society to progress in tandem with the transformation of our people," Loh added.

In fact, Temus has been launching a career conversion programme named “Step IT Up” since August 2022, aiming to help individuals with no prior tech training or backgrounds secure full-time roles in software and digital application development upon graduating from the three-month programme.
Back in October, Temus revealed a new round of recruitment for the third iteration of Step IT Up. The recruitment for the third run spans from 16 October to 20 November 2023 and is open to Singapore citizens or Singapore permanent residents (PR). The company aims to hire, place and train 20 digital business analysts (Digital BAs) in this third run of Step IT Up.
