For the third year running, TBWA\ Singapore defended its title with a convincing display at MARKETING-INTERACTIVE's annual Agency of the Year Awards, held as an inaugural virtual ceremony on 18 November 2020. The agency’s claim to victory was clear after sweeping gold in four categories (Brand & Design Consultancy of the Year, Creative Agency of the Year, Full-Service Agency of the Year, and Integrated Agency of the Year), and one bronze for the Digital Agency of the Year category.

TBWA\'s efforts were lauded by judges for showcasing "true creativity in a time dominated by data and metrics” in their entries, having produced excellent creative work that achieved outstanding results for clients.
In addition to Overall Agency of the Year, the juggernaut agency also picked up Overall Network Agency of the Year.

"TBWA\ Singapore showed us what passion and determination can do in times of adversity. Their drive to stay hungry and seize this award three years in a row is nothing less than jaw-dropping. Well done to CEO Ara Hampartsoumian and the team for keeping their foot on the gas," said Rezwana Manjur, regional editor, MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.

She added: "Congratulations to all our winners who have emerged top in the categories, and not forgetting the finalists who have come so close with such a tough fight. We at MARKETING-INTERACTIVE genuinely believe that we are all winners this year, and this award show is a testament to the Singapore ad industry's resilience, grit and tenacity."

Coming in second at MARKETING-INTERACTIVE's 13th edition of the Agency of the Year Awards was MRM, with two gold and one silver. The agency won top spot for some highly contested categories, Digital Agency of the Year, and Mobile Marketing Agency of the Year. The silver win was for B2B Agency of the Year.

This year saw a record 43 senior client marketers take part in the judging process. Hailing from companies such as adidas, BP, Electrolux, FrieslandCampina, Grab, Hilton, Intel, Lazada, Manulife, Pizza Hut, Standard Chartered, UOB and Zalora, the judges independently reviewed and scored every entry to confirm the shortlist and winners. The virtual announcement also saw 18 judges sharing their thoughts on the agency scene and recognising the top players in the industry.

"We'd like to thank all our senior marketers who joined our 2020 awards jury panel. They spent countless hours pouring over this year’s submissions. Thank you for providing the client-side perspective that defines our award’s methodology," Manjur added.  Moreover, four new categories were also introduced this year; Boutique agency of the year, Consultancy of the Year, Influencer Marketing Agency of the Year and Video Production Agency of the Year. This brought the total number of enterable categories to 23 this year.

Other outstanding efforts this year included Akin by Techlyon  who took home two golds, one bronze and three Local Heroes titles, and Meet Isaac with two golds and two local hero trophies respectively.

MARKETING-INTERACTIVE is proud to have partnered with event sponsor SingPost, a long time sponsor and partner of the progamme.  The MARKETING-INTERACTIVE team sends their heartiest congratulations to all winners across the twenty three categories, and we look forward to seeing all of you once again at next year’s Agency of the Year Awards.
