TBWA\ Singapore has added eight new hires to its creative roster, including former Ogilvy creative director, Loo Yong Ping. Loo brings over 10 years of experience across multi-platform and has experience with integrated work. Loo has worked with global agencies such as Ogilvy and Tribal DDB, media companies BBC and Fox International, and with brands such as HSBC, McDonalds, Twitter and Singtel. Some of the key campaigns he has worked on include the "Jewel Changi Launch First Visitors", "First on Twitter" and "Singtel Data Extreme".

Joining Loo as creative directors at TBWA\ Singapore is also copywriter Angie Featherstone and art director Eirma Webster. Both Featherstone and Webster bring diverse skills from global agencies such as BBH, Leo Burnett and McCann Erickson, with work across IKEA, Mastercard, Axe, Levi's, SK-II and Vaseline.

Meanwhile, the agency has appointed former BBH Singapore creatives Chris Leow and Zachary Desker as its art directors. Leow, who was previously BBH Singapore's motion art director, is said to have a hybrid background in video editing and motion graphics, which led to works such as JollieEverAfter, Virtual Sentosa and Absolut It’s In Our Spirit. Former BBH junior art director Desker, on the other hand, brings skills in motion graphics, craft and social media. Desker worked on campaigns such as Nike Women’s Instazine, IKEA White Canvas and DBS Live Fresh. He also had previous stints in other agencies such as TSLA and Dentsu X, prior to his time at BBH Singapore.

TBWA\ Singapore also hired Fernanda Machado as its senior creative. Having 15 years of experience across South and North America in agencies such as David The Agency and Leo Burnett Detroit, Machado is said to bring copywriting, craft and motion graphics skills to the table. Some of the campaigns she has worked on include Coca-Cola House Rules and Uber Distracted Driver.

To bolster its copywriting team, TBWA\ Singapore brought on board Amanda Devarajan and Yashanti Yap. Devarajan and Yap were both junior copywriters at Ogilvy and BBH Singapore respectively before they joined TBWA\ Singapore. Devarajan is said to have a portfolio in conceptual writing and work across PR, integrated and film, and Yap has worked on multi-platform, integrated campaigns that include Nike Instazine, Uber Hidden Cities and IKEA Human Catalogue.

The new hires will be tasked to support the agency’s accelerated growth and meet the evolving demands of its client’s business needs. Andy Grant, ECD, TBWA\ Singapore, said: "In true TBWA\ style, we've found the most unique ‘Pirates’ out there. I'm thrilled to have this diverse and skilled talent on board who are all disrupting creativity in their own way. I’m looking forward to them helping us achieve our goal of creating world-class work for our incredible roster of clients.” MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out for additional information about the hires.

Earlier in February, TBWA\ Singapore also promoted its managing partner Mandy Wong to the role of MD. Wong is tasked with responsibilities of overseeing client management among key stakeholders, brand management efficiency, effective resource management and operations management to consistently improve the agency’s overall internal process. Additionally, she leads a critical task force for the agency’s COVID-19 protocol. As MD, Wong also works directly with the CEO Ara Hampartsoumian, to preside over all aspects of the agency business, including people management, financial planning, productivity and operations.
