TamJai International names new corporate communications director

TamJai International has appointed Ming Chan (pictured) as the group's new corporate communications director. Within her new role, Chan will report to Daren Lau, chairman, executive director and CEO of TamJai International.
Chan’s new role will cover sustainability, corporate communications, crisis management, corporate social responsibility and investor relations.
Prior to her new role, Chan had helmed the role of director of corporate communications and investor relations at Sa Sa International from May 2018 to September 2022. Before that, she had been working at Hong Kong Airlines from March 2015 to May 2018 as general manager, communications. Chan had also helmed the role of assistant director at Strategic Financial Relations for over nine years.

Back in May, TamJai International’s former executive director and group chief marketing and digital officer Agnes Lung departed after two and a half years to join Uni-China (Business) Management as group chief marketing and digital officer, effective from 5 June.
Meanwhile, Tam Jai International (TJI) is looking to expand into the western market despite its net profit for FY2023 recorded a drop by 30.6% year-on-year to HK$141 million. According to the release, the drop in profit was due to the economic downturn during the pandemic and increasing operating costs caused by inflation.
