Swire Hotels has appointed Matthew Lam (pictured) as its new digital marketing director, effective immediately. He will report to Teresa Muk, head of brand and strategic marketing at Swire Hotels Group.
Within his new role, Lam will be responsible for leading, crafting and executing the digital, CRM and data strategies with his team and provide central support for all global Swire Hotel properties.
In a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Lam said that his role was positioned to drive Swire Hotels Group’s group level digital transformation agenda by assuming a programme leadership role for new digital initiatives.
"The ever-increasing speed of technological advancements and changing consumer expectations makes it arguably more difficult to forecast the future of the hospitality industry than ever before. However, looking at macro-trends, there is a clear opportunity to adapt for impactful changes. Swire Hotels Group embraces this opportunity and reshapes its marketing capabilities to match with its brand and growth strategy," Lam said.
