Sunway Pyramid spices up Raya with Peugeot AR experience and floral motifs

Sunway Pyramid has tied up with Peugeot for an interactive corner at its LG2 Orange Concourse, featuring the artwork of Malaysian graffiti artist, Abdulrashade, being incorporated onto the Peugeot 2008 as full body wrap. The wrap also doubles up as an interactive AR experience. The butterfly on the car reportedly comes to life through AR, and shoppers can witness the art piece of butterflies and orchids that represents the unification of relationships, life and growth. 

The Peugeot 2008 shows off Abdulrashade’s wild-style lettering that incorporates abstract art and massive composition – which can also be seen throughout his artistic works in the concourse.

With a floral motif as the main design, Abdulrashade’s work feature orchids in full bloom, signifying a new dawn with striking colours, and bold strokes to reflect life and perseverance. Meanwhile, Sunway Pyramid's duit Raya packets, also designed by Abdulrashade, feature a floral motif and can be redeemed by shoppers who spend a minimum amount of RM250 in two receipts within the mall.

As with all festive seasons, Sunway Pyramid has also transformed its LG2 Orange Concourse to evoke the atmosphere of traditional balik kampung scenes for shoppers. It will be open from 15 April to 8 May, and the traditional and contemporary elements meet to bring to life a colourful and vibrant set-up, to emulate the energy of the Raya season.

The concourse is set up with a brightly coloured kampung house and sits in the middle of the concourse in vibrant hues of pink, turquoise, blue and yellow. These colours were chosen with the aim of evoking feelings of excitement, joy and celebration. Flora and fauna also dot the concourse in similar colours, further adding to the atmosphere.

Part of the mall’s marketing efforts this festive season include the Snap and Win contest, where shoppers can take photos of their outfits using Samsung’s Single Take feature at the Samsung booth inside the concourse. Shoppers can then share the photos on social media with the hashtags #RiuhKatPyramid, #RiuhRiaRaya as well as #GalaxyS22 to stand a chance to win a phone from the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. There will also be various booths, with participating tenants such as fashion brand Christy Ng, Rimba and Sunway eMall booths.

Bringing online to the physical space

Sunway Malls will also bring its online store, Sunway eMall, to a physical space. The online store covers all seven of the group’s malls in Malaysia, and will be available for perusal at Sunway Pyramid, in addition to Sunway Velocity Mall and Sunway Putra Mall. The online shopping mall launched on 27 October last year, as part of the group's strategic digitalisation effort to complete its physical and digital mall presence after. 

This is part of the group’s broader Raya campaign. According to the mall, this new space will allow shoppers to browse, scan and shop at the concourse and be rewarded with a gift with every purchase. More than 30 items ranging from beauty, fashion, home appliances, home and living will be available on Sunway eMall via this space. Shoppers can then consolidate their orders with a free delivery service, as well as mix and match their redemption items. 

Sunway Pyramid is also offering benefits for offline shoppers who shopt at Sunway eMall, they included vouchers worth up to RM80 and special promotional codes for their purchases.

With Riuh Ria Raya, we hope to spark the joy and warmth that comes from being able to celebrate and spend time together safely and create an atmosphere fitting of the season.”
