Sun Life picks new Asia chief client experience and marketing officer

Global financial services organisation Sun Life has appointed Mahima Tankha Marwah (pictured) as its new chief client experience and marketing officer of Asia, effective 15 March 2024. 

In her new role, Mahima will report to David Broom, who now transitions to the role of chief client and distribution officer of Asia.  She will be responsible for leading the client and marketing strategy across the region to grow brand health, deepen client engagement, and inform product innovation to meet client needs.

She will also be leading Sun Life Asia's marketing strategy, brand development, philanthropy activities, client listening and measurement and the development of new solutions to enhance client propositions. 

Her role covers Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines markets, said Sun Life when MARKETING-INTERACTIVE reached out.

Mahima brings over 20 years of experience in channel management, brand management, digital marketing, customer experience and insights into life, health, and general insurance in Asia, according to the release. 

Prior to joining Sun Life, Mahima held senior insurance distribution, client experience and marketing roles at global financial services providers, FWD and Allianz. She once had an eight-year stint at FWD Insurance where she last held the role of vice president, digital bancassurance, group office.

While in Hong Kong, back in October 2023, Sun Life launched a new multi-year brand campaign as it celebrated 131 years of supporting Hongkongers through ESG-investing focused insurance products, strategic market expansion and customer-oriented digital transformation.

The campaign was part of five individual campaigns co-created with local teams across the Asia region to ensure local relevance. It aimed to boost Sun Life's brand health across the region, it said when MARKETING-INTERACTIVE reached out.
